Small Group Bible Studies

I believe the most important ministry we have at Parkside bible Church is our small group ministry.  We have a lot of options for you to choose from with groups meeting on different nights of the week so you can pick the ones that are the most suitable for you. Participating in a small group enables you grow deeper in your faith while making new friends with your fellow Parksiders.  Listed below are the groups that will be starting up in September, followed by a few that are ongoing and open to anyone who would like to attend.  Participation in a small group is one of the best uses of your time that I can recommend, and should be a must for every believer!  I hope you will get connected with your fellow Parksiders in a Bible study and grow together in the Lord.

 RESTORING THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY--NEW SMALL GROUP
Taught by: Charlene Myers and Bruce Pultz
Day:  Tuesday evenings, starting March 6th
Time:  6:30 pm
Location:  at the church
Description:  "Restoring the Christian Family" is a study by John and Paula Sanford.  This group is open to both men and women, single or married.  The purpose of this book is to demonstrate the need for individual death and resurrection and the consequent release of the Holy Spirit in us, which will restore the Christian family.  No childcare is provided.  Please sign up at the church information desk.

YOUNG MARRIED GROUP
Taught by:  Pastor Justin and Meredith
Day: Sunday evenings
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: at the church, downstairs outside of the kitchen
Description:  This group is open to all married couples in their 20's and 30's. Come join in for fun, food, fellowship, and discussion on a pertinent topic.  Currently we are reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan.  Bring appetizer or finger food to share.  Free childcare is available.  You are welcome to join any time!

ATTAINING ONENESS IN MARRIAGE--NEW SMALL GROUP!

Day:  Sunday evenings for 10 weeks beginning January 22nd, 2012
Time: 6 pm
Location:  at the church

This small group offers its participants practical ways to develop oneness in your marriage, and is for anybody who wants to work on strengthening their marriage. This study will be open to the first  6 couples that sign up.  Please sign up at the church information desk.  Childcare will be available.

MADE TO CRAVE  NEW SMALL GROUP
Taught by: Cathy Chrisman and Carol Smith
Day:  Thursday pms, starting January 19th
Time: 6:00 pm
Location: at Parkside Bible Church
Descripton: Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst is not a how-to manual or the latest, greatest dieting plan.  This is a helpful companion to use alongside whatever healthy eating approach you choose. This book and Bible study will help you make healthy lifestyle changes.  This group is open to men and women. Limit of 12 participants. Sign-up at the church's information desk. Ladies Bible Study--NEW SMALL GROUP

Day: Every Tuesday, starts January 17, 2012
Time: 8:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m     
Location: Parkside Bible Church – Room G
Descripton:  MADE TO CRAVE.  In "Made to Crave", Lysa Terkeust won't tell you what to eat or how much to exercise, rather she explores why we make unhealthy choices.  She'll help you discover what it is you are really seeking, and how that need can only be met in our faithful Heavenly Father.  And when your cravings are satisfied with HIs love, a healthy body will follow.  We will also be applying this to any other "thing" you are seeking before God.  This book and Bible study will help you make healthy lifestyle changes.  This group to open to women.  Tuesday’s Women’s Group NEW SMALL GROUP

Day: Every Tuesday, starting this new study on January 10, 2012
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Location: Parkside Bible Church – Fellowship Hall, childcare available
Descripton: Because of Jesus.   This study by Connie Whitter consists of 12 weeks of video and discussion sessions based around Proverbs 31. In this study you'll realize that Proverbs 31 is not a standard you have to "live up to", but is a picture of who you already are in Jesus. You'll come to know Jesus more fully, trust him with all your heart, and experience His promises. Childcare is provided.  Titus II   NEW SMALL GROUP
Taught By: Margie Harryman
Day: Mondays, starting Feb. 27,2012
Location: At the home of Margie Harryman, 11:30-1:30 pm
Descripton: This study is a 9 week intensive Bible study for women based on the 8 things the older women (in this case,Margie) are to teach the younger women:  to be sober, love her husband, love her children, be discreet, pure, busy at home, good, and submissive to her own husband.  This is taught in Margie's home with homemade bread and tea.  It is limited to 10 women.  Childcare is provided. The Gospel of John
Taught By: Neil Biolsi
Day:  every Tuesday, 6:30, breaking for Christmas, beginning again on January 3, 2012
Location:  At the home of Neil & Camille Biolsi
Descripton:  This small group will do an in depth study through the gospel of John.  This is a no nonsense Bible study, that is open to men and women.  No childcare is provided.


The Book of Psalms
Taught By:  David Chester
Day: Every Thursday night, beginning in April 2012
Location:  The home of Harold Curtis

Day:  Every Wednesday, 11:00 am-1pm
Location:  Fellowship Hall at Parkside Bible Church
Description:  This group is for anybody who is free in the day time.  There is a Bible study, followed by a pot luck and great fellowship.  Childcare is available, provided we know in advance.


         The Book of Acts

Day:  Every Thursday
Time:  5:30 Dinner,  6:30 – 8:00 Bible Study
Location:  The home of Jeff & Amanda Auerbach
