Small Group Bible Studies

We believe one of the most important ministries here at Parkside Bible Church is our small group ministry.  We have a lot of options for you to choose from with groups meeting on different days and nights of the week, so you can pick the ones that are the most suitable for you.  The groups range in size from about 12 people to over 20 depending on the type of group.  Participating in a Bible study group enables you to grow deeper in your faith while making new friends with your fellow Parksiders.  Listed below are the groups that are currently meeting and open for you to attend, as well as those that will be starting up the week of September 9th.  Participation in a small group is one of the best uses of your time that we can recommend, and will facilitate your growth as a disciple of Christ!  We hope you will get connected with your fellow Parksiders in a Bible study and grow together in the Lord.

Daytimers

Description:  Daytimers is for anybody who is free during the day.  There is a challenging Bible study, followed by a potluck and great fellowship.

The Gospel of John

Description:  John's gospel is rich in theology and focuses on the true identity of Jesus.  Neil provides you with in-depth teaching and will challenge you in your walk with Christ.  The gospel of John pays rich dividends to those who study this great book of the Bible.  If you would like to attend this Bible study or have any questions you can call Neil at 836-3567.

 
The Transformation of the Inner Man

Description:  "The Transformation of the Inner Man" is a study by John and Paula Sanford.  This group is open to both men and women, single or married.  There are no instant answers. Doing The Right Thing

Description:  (THIS STUDY IS CURRENTLY FULL!  Sorry)  This is a six week DVD series from the Chuck Colson Center focusing on ethics.  Each session examines how ethical and character issues relate to your life at home, school, and the workplace.  Each session consists of a DVD segment followed by a stimulating discussion.  If you would like to participate in this group call Todd Benham at 489-6389.

Women's Bible Study -" Encouraging One Another"

Description: This study is a Women of Faith Study Guide Series entitled "Encouraging One Another."  This is a 12 week study and is open to any women to attend.  If you have any questions about the group, you can call Tammy at 775-0525.

Tuesday Women’s Group - "Jonah - Navigating a Life Interrupted"

Description: What do we do when God interrupts our lives?  Many times, like Jonah, we run!  In this 7-session Bible study, Priscilla Shirer redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams.  When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.  This group is open to any women to attend.  If you would like to participate in this group or have any questions, you can call Deltra at 785-3691.

Titus II

Descripton: This study is a 12 week intensive Bible study for women based on the 8 things the older women (in this case, Margie) are to teach the younger women:  to be sober, love her husband, love her children, be discreet, pure, busy at home, good, and submissive to her own husband.  This is taught in Margie's home with homemade bread and tea.  It is limited to 10 women.  Many women at Parkside have gone through this class and have been richly rewarded!  If you would like to attend this study or have any questions, you can call Margie at 778-8033.    


The Gospel of Mark
